About Me

I am a very tenacious character. I was bought up on a council estate till the age of 15. I have been threw many rough times as my family where the only Asians on the block. Back then, life for children in council areas was all about reputation. So just like many other kids I set aside to make my own reputation. I am a very hard headed, but self motivated person. I have had my fair share in life of the good and the bad. Over the years, I have learnt to become an adult and handle situations in more of a considerate manor. This has lead to employment and many other avenues for me. I am a very enthusiastic and joyful character; I can be loving and affectionate at times. But when I have to be firm, I am able to send my point across. Also, over the years of employment in sales areas, I have learnt how to change my character in order to achieve my goals. For example, I am able to use the other persons tone, body language, and speech, in order to change my approach and tone to either make a sale or solve confrontation easily.

General Experience

Most Recent:-
Fredrickson International (Oct 2010/July2011): Worked as a financial negotiator in debt recovery. I was promoted with in my first 2 months to a higher department FPC. Consistent use of IT, along with using own initiative to solve matters and deter confrontational situations. I also had to ensure that I am meeting my target and working well as a team to help colleagues.
Screwxfix: My role consisted of working in the warehouse department and occasionally assisting customers at the trade counters. I had worked for this company for a good part of 2 years.
Frangos: My role was a front grill chef, where I had to meet deadlines and make sure I have the best quality food going out my station at all times. I also had to ensure that customers were satisfied with their food and service. This is a hard, fast working, efficient role; it enabled me to be on my feet 24/7.
Papa Johns: Worked as a sales representative. My duties included taking and making inbound and outbound calls, also I served customers face to face and adhered to their orders.
Fulfords of Kingston (October 2006): A motor vehicle repair centre. My responsibilities included dealing with customer queries in person and via the telephone, investigating mechanical problems and assisting qualified technicians in repairing them
Sutton Volunteer Bureau: As an active volunteer member I took part in community projects such as gardening and befriending in local day care residential homes.

Qualifications & Training

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
I have recently completed a 1 week training programmme, in which I learnt many things about sales over the phone, from building rapports with customers to closing a sale.
I possess a full UK Driving License.
I have successfully completed a full-time Level 3 BTEC Business National Diploma at NESCOT.

Other Information

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy watching and taking part in many sporting activities especially rugby and football which I play at weekends. I am keen to keep healthy and am currently an active member of several local gyms. I have a passion for motor vehicles. I enjoy the challenge of finding and dealing with a problem.

I am a sociable individual with a wide circle of friends with whom I enjoy watching movies and listening to music. I am competitive by nature and enjoy the challenge of a new opportunity.
