About Me

I rid myself of deep shyness at age 14. Although the shyness has been replaced, sensitivity still remains. I don't feel it as a weakness, but a gentle armour. I already knew I had a natural tendency with writing. For a while it seemed only in the fiction genre, but now I'm looking at expanding into all branches of writing creativity. I want to investigate other modes of expression. I want to explore the sending of creativity through the physical, facial, and spoken words, that others have penned. It's great to listen to others, revel in their energy, and therefore give back. I'm aware that I have the tendency to seek the spotlight and an audience.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I completed a weeks' course with Bauer Academy, with two classes. The first was a introductory taste of all creativity. The second class was “writing articles for magazines”. The introductory class included radio broadcasting. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Like with speaking hands free on a phone, that radio mike allows the release of thoughts to flow naturally.

What I learnt from the introductory course, was that I will never know enough, that I can investigate and discover, all that time allows. The second class showed me that articles are not my strongest suite. I could, however, adapt. I will for now, focus writing within the fictional novels, screenplays avenues.

Other Information

Relevant Skills

I like communicating with all people, learning from them, and sharing with them. A willingness to please, but being aware that I shouldn't seek to do that if it isn't serving good for all. This wonderful gift we have of communicating, for me also includes communicating with animals, birds etc.

I will tune in to situation comedies and stand-up. I tend to perform comedy routines in most situations. This unfortunately hasn't always stopped when attending job interviews for office work. There might be a nervous energy going on, so I will put it to good use by writing and performing it instead, in the appropriate setting. Although no acting experience, I've had plenty of input. I'm ready to perform. I'm not even looking to be paid yet. Just give me a stage, for me to rage...and other things.

Interests & Hobbies

I like to write, but it asks a lot of work, passion, and emotion. I willingly give it. Reading is a marvellous gift. I welcome the absorption, the learning, which I intend to share via writing and speaking, but being aware that sometimes people will need to talk about other subjects. I seek films that are inspirational, although there are good messages in all shared creativity. With understanding that reading and writing books need to be visited by habit, I also appreciate the need to visit the gym and swimming pool.

Miscellaneous Information

I was a member of Bethnal Green Swimming Club for seven years. This expanded into light weight training and cardio. We competed with other clubs, in London, and united as a borough for competitions with other boroughs. We also had annual internal championships. A lot of life lessons were learnt in those swimming pools.

I have suffered the torment of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), for thirty years. I have received therapy. It may appear strange, but I'd like to thank OCD for the lessons I have learnt. One being, that we can turn any physical or mental challenge, into an asset.
