General Experience

I was the General Manager of a pub in Ealing, London, for 3 years and in pub managment for 3 years prior to that working in Wales and in London. I am currently taking 6 months out of full-time work before going back to University to study for a degree in History and Economics.

Qualifications & Training

I have 11 GCSE's graded A*-B
4 A-levels grade A (including General Studies)
1 AS-level in French grade B
NVQ level 2 Bar Service
NVQ level 3 Hospitality Management
Various in-house training for Fullers Inns and SA Brains

Relevant Skills

I have always enjoyed public speaking and feel comfortable and confident presenting in front of an audience. As a pub manager I have had to deal with members of the public on a daily basis, presenting a public face to a business. I also ran a pub quiz as part of my job, something I enjoyed greatly, where I was able to use humour and my presentation skills to entertain and interact with my audience. I have an active interest in music and play the guitar, and have performed in the past at private events and open-mic nights.

Interests & Hobbies

I love listening to and playing music as well as going to gigs. I am also physically fit and play rugby league for National Conference side Valley Cougars, training twice a week and also going to the gym. Rugby is a big passion and I also enjoy being a spectator, as well as following other sports like football and cricket. I enjoy reading and also theatre and film.
