I am currently studying drama and theatre studies and am in my second year and also plan to go on to study the same in university. I have just done my last performance in a play devised by myself. I worked extremely hard to get my performance up to standard working long hours and weekends and performing in front of an audience was exhilarating for me! My character was a patient in a mental hospital who had to relive her troubling experiences, it was very 'artaud' style. I have had a variety of different characters to play, which has given me a greater understanding of theatre. Another play I was in was 'unprotected' this was completely different to my devised play as I had many monologues and it was a naturalistic play. I have also starred in a few short films and music videos for some friends in my media studies class in which I had to learn lines and also stand in the background as an extra.
