About Me

I have a degree in Popular Music/Drama, and I have lots of amateur dramatic experience performing in many shows. I am a singer/songwriter and have lots of gigging experience, performing my own written material at many acoustic events and some festivals. I have also had experience on local radio stations, where I have spoken and performed live on air. I have been working as a nursery assistant for nearly two years and I am passionate about my job and entertaining the children, for example, I have prepared and written my own scripted puppet shows, as well as taking my guitar in to work and singing nursery rhymes with the children. I use my own initiative to create role play scenarios for the children, such as a doctors surgery. I am proud of the work I do and I thoroughly enjoy spending time doing activities with them. In my previous nursery job, I even wrote a jingle for that nursery, which the children learnt and often asked for. I am really keen to have a go at acting/TV work and I love being on camera- my partner would tell you I love having my photo taken! I feel like I have a lot more to give than what I am doing and would love to take my work with children to a new, more professional level. I am a confident, but genuine individual and I work well within a team.
