About Me

I am a 58 father of three who has just retired from the Civil Service after 35 years of interviewing the public and being a Learning and Development Officer. I am highly experiences in acting and was a member of both the National Youth Theatre of Britain and the National Youth Theatre of Wales. I ran my own two companies throughout the Eighties and Nineties and also freelanced directing Open Air Shakespeare at such venues as Caerphilly Castle, Tredegar House Country Park and St Fagans Folk Museum. I have played in real life enactments and have done some extra work over the years. I have directed many productions ranging from Webster\'s The White Devil to Orton\'s What the Butler Saw. I have been appearing on TV quizzes since the 1980\'s and have a pretty good general knowledge especially film. I have been on Mastermind, Bob\'s Full House, LaughLines, $64,000 Dollar Question, Weakest Link, One Hundred Percent, The National Lottery ( where I pressed the button ) and most recently Come Dine With Me. Which was quite an experience. I am very well read and have a degree in English, I am now about to embark on my Masters in Creative Writing. I am funny, friendly, quick to learn and a quick learner of lines. I have theatrical discipline having been involved in theatre since I was eleven years old. Now in my retirement is my chance to do something more interesting with my life.

I have worked in the theatre since I was 11 years old. I have appeared in more than 200 shows and have run two theatre companies. I am have appeared in and directed over 15 of Shakespeare's plays. I have directed many plays and have been responsible for Competitions and Festivals throughout the UK. I have had short tours with Amateur companies and have appeared throughout Wales at various festivals and Competitions. I am ostensibly a comedy actor in my opinion, with lots of experience in wide variety of situations and parts. I have done extra work for Welsh television on several occasions. I have appeared on numerous quiz shows from Mastermind to Come Dine With Me.
