Three Chords

Description: They say if you want to make it in the music industry, you just have to learn to play three chords on the guitar. The rest is charisma and attitude. We put this theory to the test. In this music reality TV show, we are teach those three chords to 10 amateur musicians to see if over one weekend they can write and perform a hit song. None of them have ever played a note on a musical instrument before. These amateur musician must learn to sing, play the guitar, drums and bass guitar in just a few hours. They have to write some great lyrics and some tunes. They have to co-operate with their fellow band members to find a common vision and shared creative voice. It’s a recipe for fallouts, fights, tantrums and tears. Never have these people worked under such stress and pressure before. They only have two days before they’ve got to perform their song to a studio audience and musicians from famous bands B*Witched, East 17 and 5th Story. Will it be a disaster? Or will they find themselves on the way to a record deal? Will they find fame and fortune in the music industry? Is a music publishing deal waiting for them? This music documentary shows you how to pick up a guitar and give it a go yourself. In Episode one, the amateur musicians have to find their band mates. However almost immediately, some of them discover they loathe each other’s guts. It is hard enough choosing a band name, let alone writing any lyrics or tunes. But if you can’t share a vision for your music, or even agree what to wear, is there any chance you can become a rockstar?
