About Me

I'm David, I'm 22 years old. Currently a third of the way through an animation degree, something I wish I had done straight from school but these things happen for a reason. I'm not shy and dont get embarrased, leading to my girlfriend telling me I should do something like this. Im energetic, enthusiastic and I work hard, although I do know when to be quiet! Hoping for a job in media so feel this would be a great opportunity. Family from Ireland so have that accent down to a tee!

General Experience

After leaving school I was unsure of what direction to be headed. This led me to a short careet in joinery, which was a job I didn't feel any passion for. Because I've always enjoyed sketching, this made me think that was possibly something to look into. So I made a portfolio and was accepted onto an animaton degree at Edge Hill University. I currently have two years until completion. In my spare time I read, exercise, and socialise with friends. Ive also done a bit of travelling, recently returning from South America where my girlfriend was studying languages. Last year I alsoq completed selection for the Royal Marines before deciding a career in animation would be the safter alternative!

Relevant Skills

Confident, people person, work part time in a shop so no problem meeting new people. Part of animation is acting, I need to know how my character should look all the time, expressing different emotions and such. This also comes in useful when pitching an idea to other students and friends.

Interests & Hobbies

Sketching, watching films, playing most sports, socialising. I generally just try to keep myself busy in any way I can.
