About Me

I’m a British Pakistani aspiring actress, based in the UK and I’m hoping to get some fun roles to start my career! Growing up surrounded by Bollywood movies and Pakistani drama serials has helped spark my interest in acting, and I am looking to play unconventional roles that help break south Asian stereotypes and I’d like to play roles featuring strong female protagonists. Having lived in Pakistan for 5 years, I am fluent in Urdu and Hindi and would love to play roles in these languages. Growing up in Pakistan and the UK, I’ve noticed that there is an underrepresentation of south Asian women in British Mainstream Media, and I’d like to be a part of changing this and creating more positive role models for British Asian youth.
I am currently in my final year of my undergraduate degree at university, studying molecule & cellular biology with a professional placement. During university, I’ve been an active member of various societies and have helped promote diversity on campus by taking part in various societies and participating in a Punjabi dance performance for the South Asian Student Ball.
