About Me

I am a 40 year old bubbly female who is eager for a challenge. My paid job is a staff nurse at a local NHS hospital, having completed a higher national diploma and more recently a BSc(Hons) in professional nursing practice. I love being on stage. It not only increases my confidence but provides an outlet for me to learn and understand a different character which means I can "let my hair down", forget the pressures of work and be someone else!!!
I have 3 children, all of whom are developing the acting bug!
I play the euphonium for pleasure, although I lack the skill that I had at school. I am also self learning to play the clarinet.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I have basic amateur dramatic experience having been a member of a local group for the past 6 years.
Roles have included Glinda from" the Wizard of Oz", Mrs Cratchit in "A Christmas Carol" and Yvette from" Allo, Allo". I have also had roles in "It runs in the Family", "Cold Comfort Farm", "Continental Quilt", "A Tomb with a view", "Rumplestiltskin" and "Farndales - Macbeth".
I have also experienced my first role in directing with a one act comedy for a local festival.
I am very interested in experiencing extras work to develop my acting skills.

Qualifications & Training

I have no formal acting qualifications.
I have successfully completed "An introduction to acting, the performance course" led by Gillian King, Miles Richardson, Louise Hickson and Nicola Collett held at Norden farm centre for the arts, Maidenhead - June 2005.

I am a good listener, can take on board and respond to direction and new things. I am eager and enthusiastic to learn and have a bubbly personality and good sense of humour. My job as a nurse has provided skills in communication, working with others and teamwork as well as being commited with self belief.

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy going to the theatre - I have a vast interest from drama and comedys through to music and dance. I particularly enjoy musical theatre. I enjoy cinema and general socialising. For relaxation, I love to sew, cook and entertain for family and friends.

Miscellaneous Information

I appreciate that I have very little experience in acting but would love an opportunity to be an extra. This would develop my skills and confidence which would impact on my roles in my local amateur dramatics group. I enjoy a challenge and look forward to any potential extras roles that are offered.
