About Me

Hi there! I'm Lauren, a bubbly upbeat 18 year-old girl. I've been passionate about drama ever since my very first production in playschool when I was 4. Ever since, I have strived to gain as much experience in acting as possible. My life revolves around theatre. I have a weekly subscription to the stage, and whenever I get time I read a play, my favourite modern playwright being Charlotte Jones. I pride myself on being a very creative person. I love reading both novels and plays in my spare time, and enjoy writing my own. I find it interesting reading into the character's feelings an sub-context when performing a part. A couple of years back, when I went to see 'Woman in Black' in the West End, one of the cast members told my class that a career in acting is for people who love the craft and are prepared for rejection, not doing it for money or fame. General Experience

Ever since I started primary school, I strived to be in every school production I could. Most recently, I played the part of Mrs Marshall in Playhouse Creatures, a play by April de Angelis.

I also have lots of experience in amateur theatre productions. I am part of the local amateur theatre group Bourne Footlights, and have been in 5 productions with them over the last three years.

Between the ages of 4 and 9, I used to model for local shops and festivals, but have not had any recent experience.
