My name is Katy, I'm 16 and i just want to be out there doing the things i love. becoming and actress or performing in theatres is my dream. Modelling isn't a dream i've had for a while but i enjoy it so much.
i go to st cenydd school in caerphilly, im in year 11 doing my gcse's and i want to stay on for six form which is staying on in school.

I attend a stage school in Caerphilly and also in Bedwas. They are both two completely different types, Stage Factor in Caerphilly is an all rounder, where we do acting, singing and dancing. In Bedwas Theatre Group there are a few amount of people, all ages and all disabilities. I've also had an acting workshop in my school, where people gave us the experience on what acting is like, this was mainly when i realized how fun acting was.

I haven't had much experience with modelling but my father's just paid for a photoshoot i had with 'still images' done in Barry, i had so much fun in the shoot, and realized how natural it came to me. At first i was nervous but once my confidence kicked in, it felt amazing having the attention on me. Seeing the photo's at the end was amazing.

When i was younger i had guitar and piano lessons, unfortunately i never stuck to it, i became more interested in singing and dancing. I now have private singing lessons with a very experienced teacher who is brilliant, she has helped transform my voice into soprano. I felt i was more of a pop singer and musicals, but she introduced me to singing opera. i have done grade 1 in piano and singing, because i done guitar in school we didn't have any gradings for it. I like to take my opportunities in singing very seriously because its one of the main things i would love to do in life. I've always loved to sing, it just took me a while to realize how good i actually was. I successfully got a distinction in my grading exam last year, and now my teacher would like me to jump straight to grade 3, i was extremely pleased with my result.

I attend a stage school for dance. Our teacher likes to introduce us to new dances each year. We have mostly concentrated on contempary and hip hop. I have done my dance exam for my bronze award and successfully got a distinction. I had the opportunity to jump to gold but i have been concentrating on my school exams so i will be doing my silver and start grading next year.
