About Me

I am the daughter of a television producer and have been involved with many different types of television projects at many different levels throughout my life. As a veterinary student, I cannot commit to a steady part time job, especially due to my need to commit to a certain amount of unpaid work experience in my holidays, however extras work suits me perfectly as I can work week days and often at short notice. I have worked for the last four years as an extra and I feel I could work on other productions with an understanding of the professionalism and confidence required.

Four Years as an Extra

I have worked as an extra for the last four summers on an Irish language drama set in Belfast, Northern Ireland called "Seacht". It was produced by Stirling Film and Television Productions, a Belfast based company, for BBC Northern Ireland and TG4, an Irish Television channel. I have played many characters from a drunk student, to a nurse, to a concert pianist and have gained much knowledge and understanding of what is required of an extra on set.

General Experience

Veterinary Medicine Student

I have been involved in many aspects of televison production from a young age as my mother owns a small television company in Northern Ireland. I have worked as a cleaner, production accounting assistant, extras coordinating assistant, animal handler, and of course as an extra many times.

I also have a lot of exerience working with animals as a veterinary student and feel comfortable and confident working with most animals. I have worked as a farm hand on beef, dairy, pig and sheep farms and in addition to having many pets myself have volunteered in an animal rescue centre and at three veterinary clinics to date.

I have also worked as a cat handler on two television programs with my cat Posey

Interests & Hobbies

I have sung and danced all my life and competed throughout school. Since university I still Irish dance when I can and am in my university choir. I also enjoy running and like to compete in 10k runs and am aiming for a half marathon next.
