About Me

I have been employed by Haringey council/ Homes for Haringey since 2003 achieving many goals that I have set myself to achieve whilst meeting the business needs of the company.

I am a very enthusiastic person who works well within a team as well as having the capabilities to perform as an individual. I am a loyal and trustworthy person who has worked for the local authority of Haringey council since 2003 age (17). During which time I developed key communication skills, Strong technical skills and people skills. I have worked within different departments of the organization from carrying out my job role as a plumber to taking up the role as a supporting surveyor and attending weekly meetings with senior housing officials. I have acquired skills which I have used in the development of me training as a surveyor which can be transferred into other professions.

After many years of service to the local authority I now feel that the time is right for me to pursue my dream which is to work within the music industry. The music industry has many career avenues but the opportunity to work abroad is a key factor which draws me to pursue a career within this discipline. The music industry is a fast pasted, highly competitive and challenging market with many professionals operating to meet the demands of the clients. I feel that I can contribute immensely to a major record label as I am always willing to learn new skills and develop techniques which would be required for me to excel within this industry, reaching new career heights and evolving as a professional and as a person.

I have been employed by Haringey council/ Homes for Haringey since 2003 I have under took several roles within the organisation.

• Plumbing apprenticeship Haringey council 2003 – 2007
Shadowed a qualified plumber for 3 years developing skills required to become a plumber

• Plumber Homes for Haringey 2007-2010
On completion of apprenticeship under took role as plumber analysing and carrying out remedial repairs to many defective plumbing systems throughout the borough of Haringey.

• T.A horns gas safety and heating engineers Jan 2010- Feb 2010
I shadowed a qualified gas safe engineer carrying out annual maintenance gas appliance checks and also assisting with repairs and boiler breakdowns.

• P.S.L Properties supporting surveyor Feb 2010 –March 2010
Worked along side the P.S.L surveyor carrying out pre and post inspections and dealt with private landlords who lease properties to the Haringey Council.



• Voids properties supporting surveyor March 2010 – April 2010
I worked along side the contractor surveyors carrying out pre and post inspections to Haringey
councils housing stock.

• Trainee Fire risk Assessor April 2010 –August 2010
I worked along side experienced fire risk assessment team carrying out inspections on many of
Haringey council Building’s including both commercial and residential communal areas.

• Client services department supporting surveyor August 2010-April 2011
I worked closely along side senior building surveyors on large scale projects with thresholds over £15000. I also had to liaise regularly with other professionals such as project managers, structural
engineers, building control officers, and the clerk of works. Other duties included attending weekly
meetings along side senior housing managers and voids department managers. I participated in
scheduled estate meetings with housing managers, residents and councillors advising on remedial
repairs required within communal areas and ensuring that these repairs were undertook.
