About Me

Indira Roman was born on July 27 1986 in Havana, Cuba. From when she was a little girl her mum has always been a big inspiration in Indira’s life, and from an early age she spotted the singer’s talent. Indira soon started taking lessons in singing, dancing and acting, and at the age of 5 years got her first acting role in Federico Garcia Lorca, the principal theatre in Havana.

When Indira was 12 years old she had her television debut, singing on a children’s programme called Fantastico. 3 years later she played a role about self awareness in Haciendo Caminos (“Making Way”). Indira’s professional life as a singer started when she was 16 with the band Tabaco, who she sang with from 2002 until 2009. Indira travelled to the UK last year for Salsa Kingdom and won many a heart with her fabulous voice and captivating smile.
