About Me

My name is Fiona Lynn, I'm 16 years old. I have always been interested in acting, and joined several groups throughout my time at school. I became interested also in singing and dance when I went to secondary school, joining many classes including some time at GSA saturday school. I have always been passionate about music, starting to learn the cello and piano at age 6, and also singing in choirs at church and school. My father is an award winning composer, and a cameraman, editor, music producer and general film-maker. He has been a professional musician, a session player, touring and working with many well known artists such as Barbara Dickson and Miriam Stockley. I now sit in with him in sessions and help out with ideas. My mother recently took a screen acting course at Redroofs, and has done some professional acting work also. She was a BBC Radio presenter, and has also been a professional musician, in singing, piano, violin and viola. Following in both my parents's footsteps, I hope to continue my life in the filmmaking, acting and music business. I am currently in the early stages of putting together an album (singing) with my dad. I'm very creative and enthusiastic, I've taken Art, Drama and Music GCSE and I hope to go to college and study Graphics, Media Studies, Music and Drama there, then go on to study Film Production at University, with the possibility of doing a Masters Degree in drama or screen acting.

Relevant Skills

I never took any grades in dance, but I got good at Street Jazz and picked up Tap very quickly. I had ballet lessons for a while when I was younger.
I can read music well, sing well, and play piano well. I have been teaching myself guitar for only a little while but I know a handful of songs and I'm picking it up quickly. I'm a good cello player, I have been playing for ten years now and I've completed all my grades. I'm planning to start piano lessons again in September, and thinking of doing a diploma in cello playing.
I have been chosen to play the lead role in a school production, and main roles in workshop performances.
I've passed my SS4 in dingy sailing, and I will be learning to drive as soon as I'm 17. I am learning to ride horses, and I have my cycling proficiency.
