About Me
My full name is Emma Louise Males. My DOB is 09/09/1991 and I have a son (whose DOB is 05/02/2011) and a stable boyfriend of 3 years.
I aim to be a professional actress. It has always been my dream and aim in life as it is what I enjoy most.
I am small at 5ft1, but have a sizable chest and hips so the ages I could play really range. At 11th Session I played anyone from the age of 6 upwards. Obviously I don't mean I look 6, just that I am able to be versatile in how I act.
I grew up in Kirkby-In-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire and have always lived here. I plan on moving as soon as possible however.
Though I have a young son, this does not stop me travelling to wherever I need to go to get work.

Employment History & Experience
I did many performances during my 4-5 years of 11th Session drama classes at All Saints School Of Performing Arts.
The performances I did include a play about the plague, where I played a personified version of the plague. This was a particularly challenging role as I had to pretend to be a 6 year old playing, yet be creepy and had a lot of dialect to remember.
Another one is one that a friend and I put together. We took a piece of a play called the Dumb Weightier, and edited it into a 20 minute play with just the two of us. We played assassins. This was my favourite piece as it was more adult and gave me the chance to flex my acting muscles and really put some emotion into it. I later received very good feedback about both of these pieces from the tutors, family and friends, and people I had never met before.
We also did a lot more plays, one of which was in Thorsby Park which was open to the public.
Though I have only done plays and love theatre acting, I am interested in film and TV also, and we did do some work on how we would act differently, using different muscles.

Employment History & Experience
I did two years of Music Practice at Clarendon College where I did numerous gigs all around the Nottinghamshire area, including a pub in Beeston, a concert for a school and an opening Night for a NCN in Haddon. The course also did weekly performances for the classes, sometimes with parents and friends, and a week in Germany doing gigs.
Since the course finished I have done 2 gigs, both in a pub called "The Millers" in Kirkby-In-Ashfield where I live. The pub has lots of bands in, some of them famous. Tommy Emanuel is among the big people who have played there. The first I did with my boyfriend who I met at music college and am still with now. He played guitar and I sang and played also. On the second of the gigs, I played alone and sang also. I have a recording of the second as I was an opening act for a bigger band.

Experience & Qualifications
General Experience
I have always performed on stages from the age of being 6 until I was 18 when I left college. First I performed on some small some big stages dancing when I joined Christine March School Of Dance and did lessons in tap, jazz and ballet. I did this until I was around 11, and then ceased dancing as I struggled with it. I then joined 11th Session, a drama group at All Saints School Of Performing Arts. I did many plays at different places until I was 17 when I quit because I found that the group didn’t challenge me enough anymore.
After this I went on to do 2 years of Music Practice at Clarendon College where I did gigs all around Nottinghamshire. The course also did a week in Germany.
After this course I did 2 gigs at a pub in Kirkby that has several music nights and some big artists in. The first gig I did with my boyfriend and the second on my own, both playing acoustic guitar and singing.
Qualifications & Training
I have 6 general GCSE grades in A-C, though 2 are worth 2 grades, so I have 8 overall. They are as follows:
Art BB
Business BB
Child Development C
English C
Textiles C
Mathematics C
I also have a sports certificate to state I can aid in teaching young children
I have a BND level 3 music practice diploma from Clarendon College.
Other Information
Relevant Skills
I am skilled in the arts of acting, guitar, singing, and have experience with piano, keyboard, cornet (small trumpet), and percussion.
I have dedicated years of my life to learning how to act and how to put emotion into what I do. I would consider this my best and most refined skill.
A small amount of songs I have covered are on YouTube, though these aren’t the best of my work as I don't go on it very often and most are from when my singing was not at its best. However, I particularly think the cover of Wind beneath My Wings is one of the best on YouTube. This is from 2009 so not my best work, and unfortunately you can’t see me on it. Here is the link however, and from that video, you can find my other videos. Keep in mind; these are not my best, but average versions of what I can do.

Interests & Hobbies
My interests and Hobbies are all creative.
My favourite is of course acting! I love to act and always have. When I was younger me and a friend of mine would literally act all day and when we wanted something else to do we would practice hot seating! I have always dreamed of acting and have been told I am good at it too!
Secondly, I have a deep love of music! I have always enjoyed music, I think it is very important as it can change the mood in an instant. I do almost everything while listening to music. I also play guitar, sing, play piano when I can get access to practice and I have also tried my hand at many other instruments, though the ones stated are the ones I enjoy most. The course I did in music really helped to improve my confidence on stage and made me not afraid to perform in front of people. I now love performing!
I love to draw! In any spare time I get, I pick up my pencils and sketch whatever I am into at the time being. I recently drew a detailed scene from the 2005 film Pride And Prejudice.
Knitting is a really big hobby of mine! I sell knitted baby clothes on EBay and to people I have met. I especially love to do premature clothes as they are quick, easy, and it’s great to know I'm helping babies out there who need it the most!
Writing is another one of my hobbies. I like to write stories and poems and am especially inspired to do this by the rain. My poem "Love Gone" was published in school in a book called "Poetry In Motion" which can be purchased at most bookstores.
Miscellaneous Information
Everytime I act or perform music, I feel as though I am doing it not just for me, but partially for my Grandma, who died when I was 16 and who I have dedicated many of my songs to. She was a great support to me and I would not have any of the skills I do not without her, she taught me everything I know.
My mum, having died when I was 7 never got to know the real me, and I hope that if she can still see me that she will be proud of my skills.
And so I wish to make as much as I can from a career of acting and music with my grandma and mum as motivation and dedicate it to them.
