Details:

Are you a multi-talented musician looking for a new role where you can teach and perform on a daily basis? If so, we would like to hear from you! We are currently seeking a talented and inspiring Rock Choir Leader to take over existing choirs in Cambridge, Huntingdon & St Neots. You will be joining the UK’s largest and most popular contemporary choir, with nearly 25000 members led by musicians like you in over 300 local communities nationwide.

Applicants should have very competent piano and vocal skills and a charismatic and energetic personality. There is no need to have led choirs before but commitment and self-motivation is paramount. The role is a fulfilling one, with the chance to change people's lives through our music, performance and teaching.

The ability to work enthusiastically as a team player is key (no divas please!) Successful applicants will join the current team of more than 60 friendly, supportive and outgoing musicians who are already enjoying their career with the UK's favourite contemporary choir. Opportunities to perform on stage and on TV come with the job. You would work a 3/4 day week leading choirs learning popular songs with 1 additional regular training day per month and work 30-35 weeks per year with our long holidays. Arrangements and many other resources and support are provided. Your choirs would mostly take place on weekday evenings and you would be leading the choir members (who will become like an extended family to you) to concerts locally and nationally.

You will need a driving licence, your own car, a keyboard and PA system.

If you can't see past your summer schedule or your end of year exams do apply now as training will take place after these commitments with the aim of leading your choirs from this September. We will also contribute towards your travel expenses for the interview.

Here is a quote about the role from one of our choir leaders - "Being a Rock Choir Leader means that nearly every weekday night, I get to spend quality time with 50 to 100 of my closest friends." Maxine (Cheshire and Lancashire Rock Choir Leader)
