Empire State is a mimetic photography series à la the fashion photographer. It adopts the construction methods, tropes, aesthetics and motifs of the fashion photographer in order to render a mimetic photograph of a lingerie model in situ. In essence, Empire State is a tractate on fashion photography, its mode of construction, and the art, craft and technology that make fashion photography possible.
