'The Mass of Men' is set in a job centre and explores the relationship between the job centre adviser and the job seeker, examining if and when violence can ever be justified.

The National Film and Television School has turned out numerous award-winning filmmakers over the last forty years, and has an international reputation. Last year, one of the films from the school won the BAFTA for Best Short Film and another was nominated for an OSCAR - so the film school films often have a very good level of exposure. Directors who studied here included David Yates (Harry Potter) and Terence Davies (Of Time and the City).

The film's writer and director, Gabriel Gauchet, has already received extensive international exposure. His last short film, Efecto Domino, has won multiple awards and was screened at over 50 festivals worldwide.
