ACLE (Associazione Culturale Linguistica Educational) is a non-profit organisation endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Education operating successfully for 28 years. ACLE promotes a student based teaching method and is the first in Italy to teach English to children through T.I.E. (Theatre in Education).

Young, Enthusiastic ACTORS with T.I.E. experience are needed to work touring Italian schools presenting interactive English language shows supported by workshops (knowledge of Italian not necessary). This is an exciting opportunity for actors with a love for T.I.E and children. As an actor you should have the flexibility to perform in a range of genres from Slapstick to Shakespeare. We also allow you the freedom to bring your own skills and personality into each sketch.

Touring in groups of three/four, you will perform English shows and coordinate class workshops for Italian students. This unique experience provides the opportunity to act, teach, travel Italy taking in the Italian culture. It is a invaluable opportunity for future careers and an experience that will never be forgotten!

The repertoire comprises of 5 fairytales, 8-10 comic sketches, a musical, and one group will also perform a Shakespeare workshop for older children so you must have very versatile acting skills. You must be a native English speaker without a strong regional accent and be able to speak in a slow, clear manner. Due to the nature of the job and the average age of applicants, we ask for actors aged 20-30 however this is not a strict rule and we will make exceptions. Most of all, we ask for applicants who are fun, energetic and up for a new, challenging yet extremely rewarding experience!

THEATRINO provides a flight from London/a travel contribution, accommodation, car, petrol, insurance, paid rehearsal and a weekly cash salary of 250.
