Forthcoming short horror film to begin production in January 2013 and is to be produced entirely in 3D and will be made available for watching freely to anyone of 18 years and over via its own web site. However the film will also be made available for viewing for those with Red and Cyan Glasses and ordinary 2D HD televisions allowing everyone the chance to view the film.

In addition to having its own web site, a Facebook fan page will also be set up and open to those of 18 years and over to join where news updates and exclusive content will be made available such as publicity pictures, trailers and cast interviews etc. A YouTube channel will also be launched for use in promoting the short film via trailers etc.

Funding for this short horror film will come through the use of either Kickstarter UK which launches this autumn or Indiegogo which operates on a very similar basis. All involved will be expected to help with production of publicity material such as pictures, web posters, interviews and teaser trailers which can be used on our financing page, the official web site, Facebook fan page, Twitter and also YouTube and Vimeo.

“Death Pose” is not to be a for profit film, however for those involved travel expenses are refunded and this will be calculated into the target we aim to raise. Regardless of whether the full target is met this film will be going into production.

The script for this short film will be available upon closing of this casting call and we aim to start promotion work as soon as casting is complete within one week of this casting call closing.

For this casting call we are looking for 5 young female actors of between 18 and 29 years of age to participate as the main characters of the short film. We are also looking to keep an average height of between 5 ft and 5 ft 6.

The characters available for casting are:

JODIE – A young smart bookworm but loves to party and is naïve in her want to succeed as a model.

PAIGE – An outgoing party girl, extremely flirty and lively and loves a laugh. She also has a passion for potential acting.

CLAIRE – A cheerleader type girl who knows how good looking she is and has already got a few local modelling shoots experience.

FELICITY – A single daughter from a wealthy background and has the snob factor to go with it, but also is willing to do just about anything asked of her and likes to get drunk.

JENNA – A keen enthusiast of horror films, always wanted to be in one. Not a party girl but still wants to have a good time. Also done a bit of modelling in the past.

Filming will be taking place mainly during weekends but if weekdays are available then it would help move things along.

We will be filming “Death Pose” on location around Warwickshire, Birmingham, Solihull and London.

The basic stage combat required for this short film will be taught before production begins to those not trained.
