Details:

The Hundred and One Dalmatians - By Dodie Smith. Adapted by Glyn Robbins.
Theatre Tour.

Synopsis: Pongo, a Dalmatian dog, and his Missis are expecting their first litter. They become jittery when obsessive fur collector Cruella de Vil arrives. When Missis produces fifteen puppies, Cruella is enraptured and has the Badduns kidnap the litter. Distraught, Pongo and Missis enlist support of the Twilight Barking and encounter many exciting adventures before rescuing their own pups — and a great many more! A heartening story, with courage and love triumphing over evil.

Tour Dates from 27th July – 30th September 2013. Dates already booked: 3rd, 17th Aug, 24th Aug, 28th Aug, 31st Aug, 15th & 22nd Sept – further tour dates to be added.

Rehearsals will be in Norwich, weekdays (days dependent on cast availability), between Midday – 6pm, from Monday 24th June until the tour commences. It is essential actors have a base in or local to Norwich during the rehearsal period as accommodation/travel expenses will not be reimbursed.

Transportation from Norwich to the tour venues (and back) will be provided or pre-agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Paid roles - fee to be confirmed after tour schedule has been completed. It would be a minimum guaranteed fee of £450.00 but this may increase depending on the finalised tour schedule.

There are various roles available. Versatile actors required to play 2 or more roles each. Ages are flexible.

Missis
Female dalmatian, married to Pongo. The dogs consider the humans Mr and Mrs Dearly their pets, but allow the humans to think that they are the owners. Their newly born puppies are stolen by Cruella de Vil.
Age range: 20-35.

Pongo
Male dalmatian, married to Missis. The dogs consider the humans Mr and Mrs Dearly their pets, but allow the humans to think that they are the owners.Their newly born puppies are stolen by Cruella de Vil.
Age range 20-35.

Mrs Dearly/Lieutenant Cat
Mrs Dearly: newly married to Mr Dearly - owners of the Dalmatians Pongo and Missis.
Lieutenant Cat: helps Missis and Pongo in their quest to rescue the pups, lieutenant to "Colonel" the sheepdog.
Age range 20-35.
Female.

Mr Dearly/Sir Charles
Mr Dearly: newly married to Mrs Dearly - owners of the Dalmatians Pongo and Missis.
Sir Charles: Ageing owner of Sudbury Manor and "Spaniel". Sir Charles thinks Pongo and Missis are ghosts of his old pets when they stop at the manor for food.
Age range: 20-35.
Male.

Nanny Butler/Saul Baddun
Nanny Butler: One of two nannies living with the Dearlys.
Saul Baddun: Brother to Jasper - Cruella de Vil's helpers - crooks who are guarding the stolen dalmatian puppies.
Actor - male or female.
Age range 25-40

Nanny Cook/Jasper Baddun/Policeman
Nanny Cook: One of two nannies living with the Dearlys.
Jasper Baddun: Brother to Saul - Cruella de Vil's helpers - crooks who are guarding the stolen dalmatian puppies.
Actor - male or female.
Age range 25-40.

Persian Cat/A Spaniel/Colonel Sheepdog
Persian Cat: Cruella's cat whose kittens she keeps drowning. Hates Cruella and helps Pongo and Missis.
A Spaniel: Stately and courteous old spaniel, owned by Sir Charles, lives at Sudbury Manor. Helps Pongo and Missis on their journey to rescue the pups.
Colonel Sheepdog: Acts in military-fashion, helping Pongo and Missis in their quest.
Perdita - Foster Mother to Pongo and Missis' pups.
Actor - female.
Age range 25-40.
