Synopsis: For 30 years Anne Naysmith lived in one of the better areas of west London - in a battered Ford Consul. But in 2002 the day came when the people of Prebend Gardens, a pretty tree-lined street of Victorian villas in a quiet corner of Chiswick had her home towed away. For the best part of 30 years this middle-class street has also been home to an eccentric who used to live in her car. Anne Naysmith, a former concert pianist who fell on hard times, was the village character, accepted and even loved by many but despised by a few who feared her scruffy quarters might blight the value of their £500,000-plus houses. Amid tears and recriminations, the car was finally towed away. This is the story of that fateful day.

Susan plays a key role in the removal of Anne and her car as it is her who begins the petition/campaign for the removal of a woman who has lived on a street 30 years prior to Susan's arrival.
