PLOT SUMMARY
The Cock & Tail Inn, Bridgwater, Somerset, South-West, England.
It’s the 1970’s and SPIDER, as he is known to the regulars is the local bar-fly at the Cock and Tail Inn.
Having no apparent relatives after his demise, the other regulars Brummie' VINCE and preacher OLLIE, together with barmaid JESS and comic landlord BARRY, wage bets with 'big softie', MIKE, that they are likely to receive an inheritance.
Then, out of the blue, SPIDER’s only surviving daughter, well-to-do
PAMELA, turns up at the pub and announces her father’s strict final wish — that a portion of his inheritance is to be left to one person of her selection at his local boozer.
Unsure of what these locals are like, she decides to stay at her father's home and spend a few days at the pub to get to know the characters so she can make up her mind.
VINCE, JESS, OLLIE and BARRY end up competing against one another to prove to PAMELA who is the worthiest. But who will win?
