Jess and Meredith are a married, interracial, gay couple living in New York in 2017 – the era of Trump – weathering a new wave of intolerance, discrimination and oppression, which is sweeping the nation and seeping into their home. 16 years later, Maya, a biracial British teen is forced into American life, braving the aftermath of a second civil war, and changing Meredith’s life irrevocably.

Returning after its highly praised 2018 run in New York and London, in her remarkable writing debut, Liane Grant’s HALF ME, HALF YOU confronts the reality of the current global climate and explores the consequences for future generations, while reminding us that we are all simply people searching for love and acceptance.

We are looking for exceptional actors to join the cast for a two-week run at the Tristan Bates Theatre from 26th March-6th April 2019.

Rehearsals will run throughout March, but there will be a degree of flexibility to work around other commitments.

AUDITIONS: We will review applications and then decide whether to ask for self tapes or hold first round in-person auditions. If we choose the latter, our aim is to do this w/c 10th December 2018. Actors will be given sufficient notice.

11 performances x3hrs. Max 52 hours rehearsals. Total of no more than 85 hours work from 1st March - 6th April 2019, but fee of £700 is GUARANTEED even if you are called for fewer hours.
