Details:
Our university each year has a number of projects provided for Film Production and Cinematography students. We are second year students currently undertaking our promo project in which we are given the opportunity to choose a branded product to advertise through a TV commercial.
This production is a student-lead piece of work advertising a Vo5 hair product (Matte Paste). It's a chance to make contact with people who will soon be entering the film industry on a professional level and to gain experience in working on a commercial shoot.
We will cover expenses and provide food & drink for all cast members. We are looking for extras, one leading male and female as well as two male actors.
The idea begins at a Speed Dating event where a young attractive lady is sat waiting for Mr. Right to sit down. A man sits opposite her drenched from head to toe. Shocked and surprised she is hesitant to shake his hand. After the ring of a bell a second man, also dripping wet, arrives and she again is reluctant to continue. The bell rings again and finally a good-looking, DRY, confident young man takes a seat opposite her. She grabs his hand and they run off. We jump cut to them landing on a bed in a hotel room as we reveal a tube of Vo5 Matt Paste on the bedside table.
"For those that don't want the WET LOOK" is spread across the screen.
It's a witty and quick plot, and will be entirely shot in one day. Once completed and formally verified and assessed we will look to submit the piece to Vo5's and Unilever's branding and marketing teams.
Filming will take place all day on Wednesday the 23rd of May, with times and locations still to be confirmed.
