Delirium is a master graduation short film (family drama) by master students of the University of Applied Science Salzburg. The subject is concerned on a play within different realities. Is it our own perception that is credible or is it just something in which we trusted because we are accustomed to it? By researching a profound morality, an understanding is created of how far humans deceive themselves in a mental way. Through the universal, thought-provoking theme, we want to win appeal to both the public audience as well as international festivals. We want to create a resonance, which will give everyone a sense of what it means to be governed by constructed truths and how important it is to break with own perspectives.

Short film: 20 min

Log Line: When Emma's carefully planned life is brutally derailled, and as she seeks comfort from her brother, a disturbing secret will be revealed that will challenge her reality and defeat the siblings' trustful bond.

Tobi is Emma's older brother. He is 37 years old and lives a hermit life on the family's farm. On a first impression he seems calm and controlled but still strong and robust. He is the typical protector figure. In recent years, he has sacrificed himself for his sister to preserve her vision of the world and protect her from the cruel truth. He had always been under her influence, he would do everything for her, fulfil her every wish. But Emma’s increasingly fatal behaviour, also makes him desperate. The futility of his efforts resembles a poetic realism, which will finally be his undoing. He would never let anything stand between him and his sister or hurt her. Not then and not today.
