Details:

Genre: Dark Comedy
Duration: 10-20 minutes

Synopsis: Francis is a father who has taken too many short cuts in life has been driven out of his family home. He is in debt, gambles and considered a joke by his community. It is his daughter, Nina's, birthday and his wife, Mary-Anne, lends him £20 to buy Nina a present. This money he gambles and looses. While seeking solace on a beach he sees thousands of stuffed toys washed up. Not considering their source, he collects a stuffed toy bunny as the redeeming present. He returns to the home that was once his own and contention with his wife Mary-Anne, she demands he showers before their children, Nina and Max return home from school for Nina's birthday celebration.

The toy is cleaned and hung on the garden washing line. When the children return home Nina is presented with the found toy bunny and runs to her bedroom with her brother Max. Francis believes he is winning his family back, he sits in what was once his old arm chair in front of the news and hears of a containment tankers cargo washed ashore. Mean while the children are fighting over the toy bunny, they rip the bunny open in their tussle, from within a smuggled stash of pills fly into the air over the room. Francis hears a commotion upstares and get a sinking feeling. We know he has inadvertently failed again, it appears he is doom to this fate.

Auditions will be held towards the end of this month and the shoot is scheduled for mid-May over a weeks period.
