Details:

Short film for CMF movie festival (BIGGEST student film festival in the world) check the website (campusmoviefest). the project is to make a film in a week and the winners get shipped to CANNES! For a red carpet premiere (unfortunately the actors will not be able to attend, only students from select universities can attend, but it is still great publicity for your acting careers if the film goes far). There is also no pay involved but there are a lot of promotional benefits and it is great exposure. This film can also potentially help to create strong links. But we would need to submit the film by next week Monday (November 7th) so we will be running on a very, very, very! tight schedule. Ideally we would like to hold auditions, but because time is short, if you could send us some of your previous work (but we may still hold auditions if necessary). Anyone interested would need to get back to me by Wednesday (2nd November, morning) which is later on today and should also be ready to shoot or do some type of rehearsal on the same day. We will need people with availability from tomorrow Wednesday (2nd November) up until Saturday (5th November). It is very short notice, even for us but it will only take up 6 days maximum of your life, and the result will be worth it. I am very passionate about film so we will only produce the best quality. We are aiming high, so hopefully the film will do well.
The film is based on the theory that blind and deaf people are lesser. But we will play around the theme of love, and how love does not have those shallow views, and with love you can hear even if you are deaf, and you can see even if you are blind. So it is quite symbolic, but has deeper meaning
Two main characters to represent this- blind woman – deaf male
Both go on separate journeys, but their heart guides them to the same place and they find each other.
It is a very abstract film and the characters will only be in the film for like a minute out of the 5 minutes. The rest will be mostly point of view shots.

We will need a very gentle woman to play our blind character. We would like her to be blind, but not look as if she is blind, she w ill be very comfortable with herself (may have to wear grey contacts – if very against contacts, we can sort something else out). She will not act blind, to everyone she will look like normal, but the camera techniques are what will eventually let the audience know that she is blind. she will also have romance with male.

We will also need a male to play our deaf male character – quite sophisticated but laid back character that has humbleness about him but also a confidence. – Character will not have to do sign language or anything. It will be as if he can hear, just very normal and casual. but has to know how to get intimate and emotional with a woman in a very subtle way. romantic scene needs chemistry.

The blind woman and deaf male will be romantically linked – by the end they have a romantic scene (very subtle scene, focusing on the senses, the gentle touch’s and the delicate details (outside) – more emotional rather than physical – this scene needs to be powerful because it is where everything unfolds
No nudity, sex is involved at all.

we will also need extras - extras will only be needed for 10 to 30 minutes, so if needed tell us your availabilty then we will allocate times for you.

were also going to need voices - humorous voices, loud voices, calm voices – different languages
Voices for casual conversations
various voices
jokes, laughter, banter - unique voices ( we may need to match some voices with their visuals, so applicants must be willing to be infront of camera - if you do not want to be infront of camera let me know before hand. not all voices will need visuals, but some specific ones might.

The film will be point of view shots – hearing what she hears. Seeing what he see’s. so there will be hardly any dialogue
We show the whole journey, she can not see. He can not hear.
When they touch and eventually meet one another at the end. Those senses come together – now the audience will be able to see and hear – having previously only having one or the other. It represents two halves coming together to create one. We will also add the element that now she can see. And now he can hear. She can see him and he can hear her (symbolic) he is still deaf and she is still blind but by the camera showing that she can see and he can hear is solely to represent that she can see him without having to see, and he can hear her without having to hear.
through out the film, they go through individual journeys but end up in the same place, with no indication, no map, no meeting time, or location, they just know where one an other is - The moral is that, you do not need to see, nor hear to follow your heart.
So the heart guides you.
Other taglines like ‘love is a language the blind can see, and the death can hear’
We will also need quite a few extras
And we urgently need voices – humorous voices, loud voices, calm voices – different languages
Voices for casual conversations
With the right cast – this film can only succeed.

but we will need people who are reliable, punctual, enthusiastic and very professional as all of these attributes will have a big part to play. Please get back to me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, it is very urgent. Thank you for taking time to read this.
Be part of something big
