(For) As Long As Love Lasts are seeking versatile performers experienced in devising and who have an interest in site specific and physical theatre to collaborate with us on our new projects in 2012 and beyond.

We will be holding a practical workshop to play, create and test out new ideas. This will be held in a friendly, informal atmosphere and will give you the opportunity to see how the company works and to ask any questions.

Rehearsals will be based in Sheffield so please only apply if you are based within the local area.

Please note this is currently an unpaid opportunity however the company is hoping to secure funding for the projects in order for this become a paid opportunity for everyone involved. This will be discussed with successful performers.

We create theatre anywhere and everywhere. The work we make is about taking risks, honesty and breaking down the barriers that exist in our daily lives.
We devise our work from scratch so each performance is unique and tailored made. We like to question everything you know. We use different styles to create our vision whenever and wherever we see fit, merging movement, text and audio together.

Ideally we are looking for performers:
To be reliable and work in a professional manner
To be flexible and have good availability on weekends, evenings and some weekdays
To be based in Sheffield
To have a wide understanding of devising theatre
To have strong improvisation skills
To be friendly and work well in a group
To have an interest and knowledge of site specific, movement and physical theatre
In addition to these we are seeking people who have a desire to do things that little bit differently.

Workshop Details
The workshop will be held at a rehearsal space in Sheffield on Sunday 11th December 2011 at 11am-5pm. Due to the physical nature of the workshop you will need to wear comfortable clothes you can move in and be prepared to work both barefoot and with shoes. All participants are asked to bring a CD of their choice that they are willing to share with the group.
