Details:

Rock guitarist/actor required for short film.

The film is based on the book 'Diary of a Rock Star' by Paul Chiles Bown and Sebastian Molino about two friends who decide to put a rock band together sending them on a trajectory they never expected to be on.
From ads in papers and ‘telephone ear’ syndrome to the frustrations of dealing with clueless applicants, auditions with people who would have done far better to stay at home, dealing with attitudes and idiocy, leading to a sheet of paper full of expletives, things roll along. Crazy guitarists with out-of-tune guitars, amps that blow up, all in an effort to get somewhere. This is a humorous, light-hearted account of a band starting a zero and following them on the way to success, all the while taking the reader on the journey through the eyes of the musician.

Specifics: May be required to play guitar (rhythm and modern rock lead styles) so own equipment would be an advantage.

Ideally should be around 6'2" - 6'4" tall with a slim build, clean shaven, straightish dark brown hair which reaches past the shoulders. Age-wise must look mid-twenties and must have or be capable of speaking with a heavy Welsh accent.

Image preferred for the part: Tight black jeans, black cowboy boots, a ripped black t-shirt and a black motorcycle jacket. Alternately black or blue jeans, or combats a t-shirt and trainers or army style boots.

Character description: Originally from Wales, Neville, after answering an ad in a music paper becomes a member of a local rock band with no idea of the runaway train that this will turn into.
As one of the two guitar players in this band, his playing technique is primarily legato which is very fluid and precise. He makes any run or fill look effortless and gives the impression that he'd almost been born with a guitar in his hand.
He is fairly self-confident but not arrogant and a pretty easy-going character though under the surface he does tend to dwell on things somewhat. He can be talkative at times and reserved at others. Humour-wise while not without a sense of humour he doesn't tend to make jokes very much, preferring to leave that to others.
He lives at home with his Mum in London. Work-wise Neville has his own business as an elocution teacher and can also do a variety of regional and international accents, much to the amazement of his bandmates.

Auditions will take place in West London, dates to be arranged shortly.

This is an unpaid job.
