Small, no-nonsense, friendly cast and crew required for ensemble indie comedy for second time feature film maker.

Where's Saltaire is an Indy/quirky comedy story about a down and out writer who, in a attempt to get a girlfriend, pretends to put on film auditions to win his love. On a series of dates with his leading lady, he strings out the audition process in the hope that she will fall for him.

This is a multi-character, multi-plot picture and sixteen young characters are required. The film requires an ensemble cast and small, multi-skilled crew. Passionate amateurs considered, as well as those looking to step up to their future career goal (e.g. from AD to Producer). I am looking to create a small passionate team, serious about making a breakthrough film for Raindance.

The shoot dates will be in autumnal October over weekends (Friday-Sunday/Saturday-Monday) with some sunrise and night shooting. If you're passionate about film and enjoy films such as Swingers, Little Miss Sunshine, Annie Hall, In Search of a Midnight Kiss and Before Sunrise, the films of Woody Allen or Richard Linklater, then this is an exciting, unusual opportunity that if you lack the experience, but know you have the talent, and the heart, then I want to hear from you.

I am looking for actors with time and commitment, to develop their parts for themselves, as well as an awareness of comic timing, connecting with their heart, and who give for the performance of the whole production, as opposed to merely the individual.

The film will be shot digitally on dslr cameras, with Saltaire in autumn as the backdrop. There is no money involved, and all cast and crew will be expected to collect and pay for their own food and drink, and take care of their own travel arrangements.

This is a great way for crew and actors to gain experience of the feature film format, contribute creatively, and being part of a team in an unpretentious environment, beefing up their CV. David has several features already written which will be seeking independent funding after this film. This is an opportunity to make a splash at the level above which you are currently working and will be filmed in our spare time.

Actress living in London who has come to Saltaire for the day, on the way to Scotland to see family. Kooky and up for doing anything to forget about her current life. Hits it off with Nathan straight away.

Womaniser, schemer. Always has something on the go. Moved to London last year with all Nathans other friends. Nathan stayed up north. Nathan's best friend. Cares for Nathan and wants to see him get on with his life though.
