We are looking for performers to work as an ensemble in our immersive production that blends naturalism and physical theatre. As the production is a mixture of these two styles, we’re seeking performers flexible and able to adapt themselves to a variety of forms and multi-role. Previous experience in physical theatre is not necessary, just an interest in both aspects of the production and a willingness to explore the depths of their own subconscious in order to create short physical sequences along the central theme of the imagined from theatre-devising through physical theatre exercises.

If you would like to audition, please come to The Marlborough Pub and Theatre, Old Steine Brighton between 3-7:30pm February 17th. If you are unable to attend the auditions on that day but would still like the chance to audition for us, please email Rosanna at ros_anna@hotmail.co.uk and we will try and organise an alternative time in the week that follows.

Out of The Trunk has unlocked their minds to imagine and explore. The result? ‘Bridge to An Island’, an immersive theatre production that will take place in and around the audience and examine the role imagination plays in improving and/or increasing isolation. We will suspend our audience's disbelief while we transport them beyond the confines of the stage. ‘Bridge to An Island’ has been created from monologues and scenes Artistic Directors Rosanna and Annabelle have written themselves and then out-sourced to other writers, before a final edit from the company. Our production will immerse the audience in different eras from the twentieth century through the use of music and sound while exploring the question, how far will your mind take you to escape your own loneliness?
