Its been tough. The Vikings were angry. Guy Fawkes’ gunpowder was soggy, and the Witches had to be drowned instead of burnt. However, The York Dungeon is back!! Funnier. Better. Bolder than ever. Now, we are looking to bring in Performance Team Leaders to support the smooth running of the Performance Department.

The Person

Candidates interested in this unique and unusual role will have a performing arts/drama qualification at College level or above, an understanding of various performance styles, character building and development, directing, devising theatre and improvisation. Previous experience in live theatrical performance, supervising a team, working with the public and excellent customer service skills are essential.

The Role

Reporting to the Performance Manager, responsibilities will include supporting the recruitment, rehearsals and training of new actors, assisting with the re-launch of The York Dungeon costume and makeup supervision, performing shows to the highest standard in line with Dungeon Brand Guidelines, and day-to-day running of the Performance Team. This role will be an active member of the York Dungeon Performance Management Team.
