MDCC Theatre Company – The Tempest
Directed by Colin Ward

Open Auditions: MAC (Midlands Arts Centre) English Studio
Saturday 28th January 4pm – 7pm and Sunday 29th January 2pm -5pm

In 2012 we present The Tempest. Shakespeare's play of the usurped Duke of Milan, Prospero, is a magical tale of revenge that ends in reconciliation and renewal.

MDCC Theatre Company is a long established group that tours Shakespeare every Summer, with performances at Midlands venues including Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the Lichfield Festival and one week further afield at Pembroke Castle in Wales. MDCC actors are ambitious amateurs, those looking to eventually turn professional, or to train in drama. We also attract professionals that have not performed Shakespeare before. We offer an unusually long amateur run of a dozen performances, in a variety of spaces, and many see this as a challenge close to being its own kind of training and development for them as actors.

MDCC run Open Auditions every year and these offer a genuinely open playing field. Every role is up for grabs and cast on merit, based on the audition process. To find out more about the production and the auditions, please contact us for an information pack.
