Myself and my team are looking for a few actors for a short film based on the folk tale ‘The Devil in Cockerham’ based in Preston being filmed this month. The shoot dates are currently Tuesday 12/12/17 & Wednesday 13/12/17 but are flexible so please do still get in contact if you are not available on these dates but are still interested.
I have a full script available for those who would like to see it.

‘The Devil in Cockerham’ is a short adaptation of the Lancashire folk tale. A mysterious character arrives in a small village and causes mayhem and fallouts within the town. Questioning the beliefs of the townsfolk and testing their relationships with one another.

Vicar
The Vicar is the second main character within the film, he is the one who challenges the Devil when he arrives and stands against him, thinking he is doing the best for the townsfolk and aims to banish him from his town.

Daughter
The Butchers daughter is a young innocent girl, the Butcher brings her to the Vicar certain she has been corrupted by the new arrival in the village.

Butcher
The Butcher is a loud character within the film, he isn’t afraid of making his thoughts and feelings known and this is seen in film where he shouts out to the Vicar wanting to know what is going to be done about the his daughter.

Pious Man
The Pious man devotes his life to serving the Vicar, he stands by his side during the standoff with the Devil and the Vicar aiding the Vicar in any way possible to banish him from Cockerham.

Milk Maid
The milk maid is one of the first people to spot the mysterious entity out in the farms, apparently he has been scaring away animals and she turns to the Vicar to help with the situation.

Middle Aged Woman
This character alongside the milkmaid is one of the first people to encounter the devil within the town. It is through both these sightings that encourages the Vicar to prepare to face off the entity once and for all.
