I need an actress, playing age 50+, as a narrator for an opera project at the Arcola Theatre. I am an outside company (The Opera Company) that is using the space as part of their annual Grimeborn summer festival.

The show is based on Pushkin\\\'s Eugene Onegin, using music and text from Tchaikovsky\\\'s opera, and songs by various composers, focusing on the relationship between the two central protagonists, Tatiana and Onegin. The singing is done by two opera singers, and the narrator is a purely acting role. I would like a narrator figure, who will frame the piece, but finds she also cannot help but get involved as she is the older Tatiana retelling her story, stepping out of the narrator role to play small vignette characters, such as Tatiana\\\'s mother, or Onegin\\\'s friend. The script will largely be derived from Tchaikovsky\\\'s opera and Pushkin\\\'s novel.

Payment for the performances is £300 towards your expenses at the moment, but if I get additional funding, and there is a profit, there will be a profit share.

Rehearsals will be 30th July - 12 August. Auditions ideally this week, mornings of Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th available, so early applications very welcome, but auditions on 10th and 11th July also possible.
