Production Details:

We are producing two films surrounding “difficult conversations” frontline practitioners may have with clients when they are working with families where there is a mandatory requirement to do so, such as in child safeguarding cases.

We are shooting on Friday the 24th of February in London.

Casting is taking place in Central London on Wednesday the 16th of February.

Rehearsal will be on Tuesday the 22nd of February in Central London.

STORY 1

Dion (Practitioner) is having a meeting with Kath (Client) to discuss the fact that she is severely physically punishing her son when angry.

Name 1: DION - Practitioner

Dressed smart casual. He is empathetic and has a caring approach.

Name 2: KATH - Client

30s, female, Caucasian, any English accent (not London)
She is wearing cheap looking clothes, no make up. She is the mother to an 8 year old boy, Sam. She is stressed and under financial pressure, she is fairly aggressive and defensive attitude.



STORY 2

Senior Family Support Worker, Ciara, arrives at young mum Sandra's home for a scheduled visit. 2 year old daughter, Amy, is subject to a child protection plan following GP concerns that the child showed signs of neglect a year ago. As Ciara arrives at the house, Dave (Sandra’s new relationship) is just leaving, this is the first time Ciara has seen him. Ciara has to have a “difficult conversation” with Sandra regarding her new and possibly unsuitable relationship and the severe effect that may have on her daughters Care Plan – it could result in her being taken into care.
