Paradise Waiting is a short film set in the 1920's that follows the journey of 20 year old Joe and his 16 year old sister, Sarah, as they travel across England on foot. Joe is in search of a new job and has to juggle his drive and ambition for work whilst caring for his ill sister.

We are a passionate group of students producing our graduate film. The objective is to have the film complete by May 2012 and we are hoping to enter the film into a variety of film festivals. All expenses will be covered.

We plan to audition for the two roles in the last 2 week of February.

We aim to shoot mid March, but dates are to be confirmed.

Joe is a resourceful and caring 20-year-old orphan who feels responsible for his younger sister, Sarah. Joe is tall, robust, slightly immature and has an extremely positive outlook on life. Joe will go to great lengths to make sure that his sister is okay and decides they should travel to the west country to look for work building the railways. Sarah becomes increasingly ill on the way and in his optimism, Joe is quite naïve about the seriousness of her situation.
