Details:

Father/Rotten Man - early 40s, M, Caucasian. Swathy, menacing. Must be comfortable with prosthetic makeup for part of role.

The Devil's Harvest is a short folk horror film sitting somewhere between Pans Labyrinth and Nil by Mouth. It's a short being made for my Masters at Raindance Film Academy. Although I'm currently a part time student I have 20 years experience in commercials and corporate work as a director/editor. I've also run a short film group for the last four years overseeing 20 short films. My intention is to raise the quality with The Devil's Harvest and submit it to festivals.

Synopsis: The Devil's Harvest tells one man's story about the return of the repressed. David struggles with his new identity as a father and begins to withdraw into the lonely comforts of drink. Late one night he is visited by a demonic entity from his childhood. An Old God of the forest, the entity has returned to exact a price for a long forgotten bargain. Before he has a chance to comprehend what is happening David is dragged back into his past where he must relive both the consequences of his devilish bargain and the repressed horrors of his own family.
