We are looking for a male actor to take the lead role in the production of a new student project called 'Desperate Measures.' We are looking for someone between the ages of 20-26 to portray an ex-soldier back from Afghanistan. The role will require someone who is able to dive head first into a troubled and emotional man who has seen and done terrible things serving his country and has returned to deal with life as a civilian. It is at this time we want to explore the characters past and see how it catches up with him,.

The part includes one short monologue but otherwise it is a silent role, the ability to use facial expressions to portray emotion is key. As students we will be unable to pay you for this work however we are willing to offer you a copy of the film for your show reel, we are also hoping to submit our short film to festivals and competitions. If you are looking for experience and a chance to get noticed this could be the role for you.

A script can be provided upon request as well as information about auditions and shooting schedules.
