Hi Guys,
Thanks for applying for my video project.
I wanted to give you some details to give you the feel of the piece I am trying to produce.
First, the music is ‘Down to the Waterline’ by Dire Straits
The theme is essentially: a London riverside love affair
Doisneau’s and Klimt’s works both entitled ‘The Kiss’ give a hint of the emotional feel, I’m trying to build into the video:

The rough structure of the video is romantic encounter, loss and recollection (actors) interspersed with dancers in a studio doing a tango/modern dance hybrid with full improvisation.
The accent on the dancing is on continuing the story symbolically in dance not on the precision of the steps.
Essentially, the acting is during the chorus and the dancing will be during the instrumental breaks of the song.
There can be crossover in personnel between acting and dancing. Even if you have never danced before but just want to give it a go, I am willing to shoot you experimenting on camera and then let you decide if you want to include it in the final version. I am also happy to make more than one version if you want to do this.
Most importantly, I am open to ideas from you with the understanding that, if I think an idea just does not work, I won’t include it.
I realise this is just a quick video, but I really want it to be fun, and working with you is just as important for me as producing a good, finished piece. I am an amateur with an idea not Ridley Scott.
