Job Specifics:

Details:
We are a writer-director team studying at the London Film Academy. We hope to produce our short student project entitled Toby in March-April. (We kindly ask you to appreciate the fact that this being a student production there is a very limited budget available for the film.) We are looking forward to cast for the role of our main character's mother, a worn-out woman in her 40s.
Toby is a life-affirming story of art, talent, passion and self-sacrifice. It is the drama of a very talented and very young boy who, despite his age, has to financially help his disadvantaged family facing a medical crisis as his elder brother lies in a coma. Instead of going to school, 9-year-old Toby spends his days in a park drawing and selling his exceptionally beautiful sketches on everyday life. People are amazed by his talent and willing to buy the drawings. At the end of the days, Toby returns home in a shabby neighbourhood and gives all the money he earned to his mother so they can get efficient medical help for his brother. Toby sacrifices himself, his youth and his talent for his brother. However, he has to learn how to remain a child despite the circumstances as there is the risk of him losing his youth completely and growing up too soon. This particular day is the brother's birthday. And Toby has a beautiful present for him as he meets a mysterious benefactor who offers him a chance to exhibit his work at an art gallery.
Exact dates and times for auditions TBA.
