A fantastic opportunity to learn Rock guitar in 60 days and star in a new video game trailer
This will follow you as you learn to play the guitar by playing a unique music-based video game. We want to demonstrate how this game can transform you, who\'s never picked up a guitar before, into the rock legend you\'ve always wanted to be - in 60 days. This is an awesome opportunity where successful participants will be invited to exclusive tutorial events to learn a fantastic new skill, all the while having a fantastic time and getting paid to feature in a video diary style trailer.
You\'ll record your 60 days of practice in a video diary, attend interviews and be invited to events to show off your new-found guitar chops along the way . We\'ll provide you with all the gear, games and know-how to complete the challenge, including: the console and game to play on, an Epiphone Les Paul Guitar to play with and video camera to record your progress.
The project is broken down into three parts:
- Daily recording of you practicing/playing the game.
- Scheduled interviews to discuss your progress and experience.
- Attending three exclusive events between September and October 2013
You\'ll need to be able to fit in roughly an hour of guitar practise per day for the duration of the project. You also need to be able to travel to central London to let us know how you\'re getting on and to meet with game and music professionals to help you on your way.
The ideal candidate will love video games and be engaging and confident in front of a camera. You should be eager to learn the guitar and dedicated enough to remain engaged with the project for the entire duration. The key is for you to have fun as you practice, to stick with it and to be able to show how far you\'ve come along at the end.
In addition to getting the guitar, game and a chance to have your talents immortalised in a trailer you will be paid up to a £750 fee for completing the project.
To apply: Submit your CV along with the attached questionnaire - it’s thorough but we need to know you’re right for the project and available to commit.
Then send us a short video introducing yourself. You decide what you say and how you make it, but remember we’re looking for people who are confident and engaging on camera so make sure that comes across.
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV, QUESTIONNAIRE AND VIDEO TOGETHER under the subject heading ROCKSTAR to PRODUCTION@MAVERICKMEDIA.CO.UK by Wednesday 4th September.
If you have any further questions, contact us at the above address or on 07534 906241.
Restrictions & Requirements:
- Open to Applicants 18-30 yrs, UK nationals based in the London area who do not play the guitar (if you\'ve tried and failed in the past that\'s okay too).
- Applicants need to be able to attend events and interviews within central London during September and October 2013.
- You must be happy to film and be filmed at home.
