Details:

"A Westminster Story" is a contemporary full length love story set in the context of a coalition government and exploring themes of love, politics and mental health. It's a 4 hander; all four roles are substantial and complex.

The play will be performed at Waterloo East Theatre, 6 performances from 25th Feb to 1st March at 7.30pm, 4.00pm on Sunday, Get in/tech/dress on 24th Feb from 11.00am to 9.30pm. Rehearsals will be on weekends and weekdays in Jan and Feb as suits the cast.

Alannah is the lead role - she's free spirited, Scottish female, in her 30's, returning to London to make amends with her brother. She's an acoustic guitar player, who writes her own music and sings. She has incredible depth, as well as a light wit and fierce integrity. Busking on the south bank she meets a politician doing a PR stunt and falls in love. So our actor needs to be able to do a Scottish accent, sing and ideally play the guitar, but if you can play a few chords we can work with it.
