Details:

We are casting for a student short film in production at London South Bank University.

Film Title: “JACK IN A BOX”
Length: 15mins
Casting: Now
Shooting: April 2011

Jack in a Box is a short comedy exploring social status and confinement.
Logline: A self-effacing mortician is inspired by a charismatic cadaver to think outside the box and teach his bullying boss a valuable life lesson.

We require a mature actor with great comic timing for the following lead role:

ROY
An introverted mortician lives life “in a box”; trapped within a dismal job, behind the wheel of a crappy car, under the thumb of a childish boss and endlessly apologising for it all. Roy mourns the life he never led until he befriends a charismatic cadaver, who inspires him to teach his boss a valuable life lesson. But Roy\'s about to find out what happens when you turn your life around inside a box...

We are looking for a London-based actor with a positive, energetic attitude. There will be opportunities for improvisation throughout production. We intend for Jack in a Box to be a great experience for everyone.

As a student production, we’re unable to offer financial compensation but basic expenses will be covered and the cast will receive a copy of the film for showreel use. Experience is preferred but not essential – We’re looking for keen attitudes and great comedy timing. If you wish to be considered you will need to be available for audition in London during the week starting March 14th
