Details:

GENRE: Drama, Holiday

SYNOPSIS: Tomas and Mia encounter each other on Christmas Eve when the bus they were both travelling on breaks down in the middle of nowhere. The two characters are from different backgrounds, and at first, they can’t find common ground. As the night gets darker the two become closer, both finding in the other something they need. Their encounter is short but when they depart, they have left a mark on each other’s lives that will last for the rest of their lives.

PLEASE NOTE: Crew members are based in and will be travelling from Surrey.

Non-Union

PRODUCTION TYPE: Graduation film. We are shooting digital.

PROJECT LENGTH: Short Film (Approx 12 minutes)

PROJECT FORMAT: 16:9 HD

AUDITION PROCESS: Auditions will be held via self-tape submissions followed by online auditions via Zoom for candidates who submit successful tapes. The deadline for self-tapes will be December 13th at 10pm.

Those who are successful will be invited to the Zoom auditions. This would be a chance for both yourself and the director to properly talk to each other and the producer might have some questions for you (and vice versa). We currently plan to hold these Zoom auditions during the week beginning December 14th. We would be flexible in arranging alternate days if there is an issue with that week on your end. The hope is that a decision on cast will be made by the end of December or first week of January.

PAYMENT: Expenses only. Travel expenses will be paid for and agreed upon beforehand or successful actors can travel with crew members in social bubbles. Accommodation, food and refreshments will also be provided on shoot days. This is an excellent collaboration opportunity as well as a chance to gain contacts with emerging filmmakers. Successful actors will be able to use final cut footage and add it to their showreels.

COVID-19:
Auditions will be taking place online due to the current pandemic. For the actual shoot, additional details of how travel and accommodation will work will be given to those who successfully make it to the Zoom audition stage.

A cynical introvert ever since his father walked out on him when he was younger. He still has a good heart and music helps him through the difficulties in life.
