Our university project requires us to film a 5 minute short adapted from a children's book - we have chosen 'The Fountain Of Fair Fortune' by JK Rowling's 'Beedle The Bard' novel.
In this story, there is a fountain where once per year, one person may have his or her problems answered. This is a story of a knight and three witches who embark on this journey, struggling as challenges lie in their path.
Audition\'s will be held in central London over the next 2 weeks.
Filming is scheduled to take place during the week of the 18th November.
We hope to have filming completed within a two day period.
Travel to locations, food, etc, will be covered.
No payment - purely student film.
FEMALE ROLES
Asha: A witch who became sick of an illness that no one could heal. Exhausted and weak from her illness, Asha is hopeful the fountain can cure her and give her a new life.
(Main requirements: British, within the age range of 20-30 and the role must be played with dark coloured hair)
Altheda: One of the three witches, Altheda lives a life of poverty and despair after a wizard has stolen her home, money and wand. Weak, she believes only the fountain can cure her from her malady and give her the opportunity to once again live a more comfortable life.
(Main requirements: British, within the age range of 20-30 and the role must be played with blonde coloured hair)
Amata: The third female protagonist, Amata, is a witch who has had her heart broken by a man she felt true love for. Amata hoped that the fountain was her answer to solving her broken heart and the longing and grief she has suffered.

MALE ROLES
Sir Luckless: Sir Luckless is an incompetent, muggle knight who feels powerless in his position and lacks the confidence that so many knights in his kingdom have. Easy going and does what he is told, the three witches on their journey order Sir Luckless to help them reach the fountain.
(Main requirements: British, within the age range of 20-30)
VOICE ACTOR
MALE VOICE: Well spoken, traditional British in the style of reading a fable to children. Voice must sound aged, for example something similar to the role of Dumbledore in Harry Potter.
