We are producing a short (15minutes) Film Noir, and require:
3x Male Actors
2x Female Actors

The film follows private eye Joe Cross who gets more than he bargained for when he takes a case brought to him by a beautiful but secretive woman. As soon as Dolores shows up, trouble follows as Joe becomes entangled in a dangerous web of crime and intrigue when he is brought into conflict with a crooked nightclub owner and a key witness is murdered.


Joe Cross - A hardboiled private eye and borderline alcoholic. He is handsome with a quick mind and a gift for repartee. Males, aged 32 to 38. American accent.

Dolores - A beautiful and sultry film star who isn't afraid to use her feminine wiles to get what she wants. We need an actress with great emotional freedom and strength. Improvisational skills and experience a plus. Females, aged 20 to 28. American accent.

August - An ominous and debonair gangster with a fiery temper. He is handsome, tall and well built. Males, aged 35 to 45. American accent.

Butch Tierney - A hapless petty criminal whom Dolores has wrapped around her finger. Think Amos Hart (John C. Reilly) in Chicago. Males, aged 25 to 33. Irish accent.

Mae - August’s late, long-suffering wife and Dolores’ twin. She is petite and winsome and has always lived in Dolores’ shadow. Females, aged 20 to 28. Southern American accent.


Casting Calls; 10th-12th December at Southampton Solent University.

(Filming will take place in Southampton during February-March 2015)
